Becoming
Oil + mixed media on canvas. 24 x 30 x 1.5 inches.
“Becoming” is a portrait of transformation—not the polished kind, but the vulnerable, in-between state where identity is still forming. Painted during a period of personal change, the figure remains soft at the edges, her shape still emerging. She reflects the messy middle—when we’ve left behind who we were but aren’t yet sure who we’re becoming.
This piece is a reminder that growth often happens in quiet, uncertain places, and that it’s okay to feel unfinished while something deeper takes root.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Although original paintings will come varnished for protection from dust and dirt, additional steps should be taken to keep original artwork in pristine condition: Place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading, avoid water sources in rooms like kitchens and bathrooms, and steer clear of extreme temperature and humidity. If displaying original works on paper behind glass, be sure to double-mat it so that the painting does not touch the glass.
