A Becoming Commission is an original figurative oil painting about a chapter of your life. A threshold you crossed. A version of yourself you are growing into. You bring the story. I listen, and I paint something that holds it.

1. Tell me what you're imagining. Fill out my short intake form. It takes 15 to 20 minutes, and you can leave anything blank or write "not sure." Your idea can be vague or specific to start; we will work on it together.

2. Talk with me. We meet for a free 30-minute conversation about your story, your space, and what you want the painting to hold. We choose your size together.

3. Reserve your spot. A $500 deposit holds one of my limited spots and starts your sketch. It's credited in full toward your total and is refundable until I begin the sketch.

4. Approve your sketch. I create a composition sketch, with up to two rounds of changes, so you see the direction before I start painting.

5. I paint, you watch it come to life. I share progress along the way, however you prefer: by email, by text, or not at all, if you'd rather be surprised.

6. It comes home. Your painting arrives with a signed certificate of authenticity.

$500 reserves your spot. The balance is split into three payments: at sketch approval, at the midpoint, and at delivery. Free shipping within the US. International shipping is quoted separately.

I paint only two commissions in each delivery window, so every painting gets my full attention.
